Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where is the new shop located?
A: First, it's not a "shop" it's a private studio. A "shop" has walk-in clientele and I do not. The studio is located at 72 N. Dixie Dr. in Vandalia, Ohio, in a nice strip of houses and commercial buildings near the intersection of W. National Rd (Rt. 40) and Dixie Dr.

Q: Why is it a “private” studio? Are you really a legitimate Tattoo Artist?
A: Absolutely nothing secret going on here. My studio is Health Dept. Certified, properly Zoned, etc. I have 15 years pro tattoo experience and am certified by Red Cross and other entities in all of the proper procedures concerning Bloodborne Pathogens, Disease and Infectious Control, etc.
I am in a “private” studio now because I feel that I owe it to my clients to take their experience to the next level.
Q: Now that you're in a custom, appointment only studio, you probably only want to do big stuff and stuff that'll get printed in magazines.
A: Actually, you'd be surprised at what can get printed in a magazine. I'm not about that at all. I love that I get my stuff in mags and love that I've won trophies and all that, but I'm about doing an awesome tattoo that the person wearing it will love. I will gladly do simple tattoos. I actually quite enjoy doing script lettering and kanjis never bothered me either. Yes, I'm all custom but custom doesn't mean it's too big and it doesn't mean you can't afford it. I love big stuff but I'll gladly do little stuff and it will be awesome little stuff.
Q: Do you charge for the consultation and art preparation?
A: No, the consultation is free and the cost of art preparation is included in the price of your tattoo. You will be expected to leave a small deposit at the time of your consultation to hold your appointment date. This fee will be subtracted from the cost of your tattoo.
Q: What if I'm from out of town and can't make it in for a consultation prior to my actual appointment?
A: We will work with out of towners and people with tight schedules via e-mail or phone and will accept deposits via Paypal or a mailed money order. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE AN APPOINTMENT DATE WITHOUT A DEPOSIT unless you are already a regular client with a good track record of making regular appointments.
Q: Are your really a Reverend and a Doctor?!
Yes. I am a legally ordained Reverend and have performed numerous weddings. I do not subscribe to any one belief system and do not consider myself to religious. I know, it’s confusing but it’s legal and lawful so let’s move on. Yes, I have received the title and degree of “Dr. of Metaphysics” from the Universal Life Church. That doesn’t mean I’m an M.D. or a PhD or any of that and I’m not practicing medicine. It just means I know some stuff and I can legally put “Dr.” before my name.
Thanks,
Rev. Dr. Chad Wells
